Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Since the late 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. The actress has won several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt in New York New York. Bassett as well as her younger sister aged five, old, made the move out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the divorced father. Bassett, while in high-school was a fan of John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she made the decision to pursue acting. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
